Garden Centre Sales Associate

Job Responsibility:
Hiring for the remaining 2024 season (August to the end of October)
We are unfortunately asking for no students as weekday hours are required.
- Exceptional customer service skills. Gardening knowledge, plant identification and knowledge are an asset.
-Helping customers pick the right plant or tree for the right area, guides customer to the location of requested items.
-Maintains and accurately complete appropriate paperwork regarding orders and deliveries.
-Cash register and debit machine experience, answering phones in a professional manner.
- Excellent time management skills, positive attitude, self- motivated and trustworthy.
- Attention to detail, problem solving, works well with others, and with minimal supervision.
- Fast paced working environment
- All outside work (appropriate work wear required). Able to handle changes in temperature and humidity.
- Plant care, watering, bagging aggregates etc.
-Physically demanding lifting of 50lbs or more at times repeatedly. Bending, twisting, walking and standing for long periods of times
- Assisting with loading of both small and large items in customer or company vehicles.
- Willing to learn machines to load trucks and trailer with materials
Job Types: Part-time, SeasonalContract length: 3 months
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
