NOW HIRING: Full-Time Barn Manager (Start Immediately)
Location: Lakeridge Meadows, Whitby/Ashburn, Ontario
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Barn Manager to join our friendly, drama-free horse boarding facility. With 20 horses in a mix of indoor and outdoor board, we're looking for someone who is passionate about horses, takes pride in clean and organized surroundings, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service to our boarders.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, positive environment and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage feeding schedules and ensure all horses receive appropriate nutrition and care.
Turn horses in and out safely on a daily basis.
Muck stalls and maintain clean, comfortable living spaces for the horses.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the barn, tack rooms, and surrounding areas.
Perform minor facility repairs, including fencing and other routine maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory of feed, bedding, and other barn supplies.
Schedule and supervise part-time and weekend staff on a monthly basis.
Hire and train new barn staff as needed.
Communicate professionally and regularly with boarders regarding their horses and barn updates.
Advertise and promote available stalls to maintain full board.
Ensure the barn, paddocks, arenas, and facilities are always safe and in good working condition.
Provide individualized care for the owner's horses as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong background in horse care and barn operations.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator.
Leadership experience with the ability to manage a team.
Experience operating a tractor is an asset.
Positive attitude and dedication to maintaining a calm, drama-free workplace.
This is a full-time position with immediate start available.
