Traffic Control Specialist in Pembroke

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited

Become a Traffic Controller with Thomas Cavanagh Construction in Ottawa and Pembroke. This role involves directing traffic, ensuring site safety, and effective communication on construction sites. We are in search of a safety-oriented individual with strong situational awareness for this position. You will manage traffic using hand signals, inform the construction team of any safety concerns, and adapt to evolving site conditions. Candidates must be ready to travel to various sites within the region. Key Responsibilities:

Guide traffic using directional hand signals
Use radios to communicate with other flaggers
Report traffic conditions to the construction crew
Arrange warning and detour signage around sites

Requirements:

Hold a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle
Must be willing to travel within Ottawa and Pembroke
Ability to endure standing for long periods
Comfortable working in harsh weather
