Calgary, AB: Part time: Posted Today: R36365**Job Description****Part-Time Maintenance Worker****Long-Term Care Home – Extendicare**We are looking for a reliable and motivated **Part-Time Maintenance Worker** to join our team. This position supports the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our long-term care home and helps ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, families, and visitors.**Responsibilities*** Minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall and general building repairs* Preventative maintenance and routine inspections of building systems and equipment* Repair and maintenance of resident rooms, common areas, furniture and fixtures* Basic troubleshooting of mechanical and building equipment* Seasonal exterior maintenance and general upkeep of the property* Moving furniture, equipment and supplies as required* Assisting with renovations and improvement projects* Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner* Supporting contractors and service providers working within the home* Maintaining tools, equipment and maintenance work areas* Following all health and safety, infection prevention and long-term care requirements* Other maintenance duties as assigned**Qualifications**We are looking for someone who is **dependable, safety-conscious and comfortable working around seniors**. The ideal candidate will have general building maintenance or handyman experience and be able to perform a variety of minor repairs.Experience in maintenance, construction, building operations or a related field is an asset.
