Our client, a company in the automotive industry, is currently looking for a Toolmaker. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of molds required for production. Possibility of day/evening/night/12hr shift.

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on plastic injection molds;
• Operate various conventional machines in the machining department;
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
• Fabricate fixtures and jigs for production;
• Perform production setups according to the parts being manufactured;
• Ensure production equipment efficiency;
• Very little machining (approx. 2 hrs/week).

Requirements:

• DEP in Industrial Mechanics, Machining or relevant experience;
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
• Proficiency with conventional machining tools: lathe, milling machine, and grinder;
• Experience with arc, MIG and TIG welding;
• Ability to perform imperial and metric measurement conversions;
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.);
• Available for all 4 shift types (day, evening, night and 12 hours), shift assignments are based on seniority and employee preference;
• Evening shift bonus: $1.15/hour, night shift bonus: $2.00/hour;
• French.
