👋 **Hi there We are looking for a reliable, structured, and long-term part-time afternoon **nanny / babysitter** for our two kids (ages 5 and 8 starting **[starting in approx 2 to 4 weeks]**. 📅 **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (25 hours/week) 💰 **Pay Rate:** (negotiable based on experience) 📍 **Location:** Toronto, near **Dufferin St & Rogers Rd**

• *What the role looks like:**
• **Staggered School Pickups:** Be at the school area for 3:00 PM. Our youngest finishes at 3:10–3:15 PM, and our oldest finishes at 3:30 PM. You will wait outside with the youngest, then walk both kids home together (approx. a 12-minute walk).
• **After-School Care:** Bring them home, unpack their backpacks, and empty their lunchboxes. Supervise afternoon downtime. The kids are allowed to use **iPads, watch TV, and play games**. Your main role is keeping the peace, managing screen time.
• **Household Setup:** One of us will often be working from home in a separate space. You will have full autonomy over the routine, but a parent will be nearby in case of any urgencies.
• **Bathroom Hygiene:** Our 5-year-old is fully potty trained but needs physical assistance with wiping after doing a "number two" (bowel movement).
• **Easy 30-Minute Dinners & Tidying:** Cook simple kid meals that can often be prepped in under 30 minutes (pizza, burgers and fries, noodles, pasta, or reheating leftovers). **They typically start dinner between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM**.

The kids are messy eaters, so we need you to clear the table and sweep/clean the floor around the eating area right after dinner. **For the dinner dishes, please load them into the dishwasher if it's needed, or quickly handwash them if it's just a few items.**

• **Toy & Game Cleanup:** Tidy up any toys or games used during the evening, and encourage the kids to help put their own things away.
• **Bedtime Routine:** The kids prefer and take **separate showers (not baths)**. Start the shower routine promptly between **7:00 PM and 7:15 PM**.
• **8:00 PM Bedroom Deadline:** Both children must be dressed, brushed, and **in their bedrooms by 8:00 PM ready for sleep**. If they are not sleepy yet, they are allowed to quietly read a book in their room.

Experience with school-aged kids, conflict resolution/mediation skills, excellent reliability for school pickups, and a clear background check. First Aid/CPR is highly preferred.
