Inside Sales Trade Finance Specialist

A career as an Inside Sales Trade Finance Specialist within the Trade Finance team at National Bank means acting as a trusted advisor who helps identify business opportunities and connect clients and internal partners with solutions that support domestic and international trade. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on business growth through your expertise in business development, client engagement, and trade finance solutions.

Your role:

• Identify and qualify business opportunities related to trade finance solutions through referrals, portfolio reviews, internal partnerships, and client interactions.
• Support relationship managers and trade finance specialists by preparing client discussions, assessing needs, and coordinating next steps throughout the sales process.
• Advise and educate internal partners on trade finance products, value propositions, referral opportunities, and client use cases to increase awareness and business penetration.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline, referral, and activity tracking to support business development objectives, reporting, and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with execution teams and subject matter experts to ensure a seamless transition from opportunity identification to implementation and ongoing servicing.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, client outreach campaigns, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance the adoption of trade finance solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and several years of experience in banking, commercial sales, business development, treasury management, international trade, or trade finance.
• Knowledge of trade finance solutions such as letters of credit, standby letters of credit, guarantees, documentary collections, receivables finance, or supply chain finance.
• Experience identifying client needs and matching business challenges with relevant financial solutions.
• Strong understanding of risk, compliance, credit, documentation, and operational requirements within a banking environment.
• Proficiency with customer relationship management tools, Microsoft Office applications, and digital banking platforms.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a complex and evolving business environment.
