Treasury Technician

Job Responsibility:
OVERVIEW:
The Treasury Technician contributes to the company's' successes by ensuring all Bank accounts throughout the group are reconciled in a timely and efficient manner. They are responsible for providing support to colleagues and involvement in cash management projects.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Maxville, Ontario, with the opportunity to work from home two days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing deposit verification, using online banking systems.
- Monitoring the organization's cash position and generating reports on cash flow operations, assisting cash/AR transactions.
- Reconciling the company's banking activities and month-end statements.
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of bank account, balance, Treasury systems and bank cost information.
- Supporting standby letters of credit and bank guarantees requirements.
- Reporting of NSF/rejected payments and ensuring their correct application to the sub-ledger
- Ensuring sufficient funding through efficient cash management between accounts.
- Reconciling General Ledger Clearing accounts.
- Preparing transactional analysis reporting.
- Evaluate new banking products and services.
- Participate in improvements of everyday processes.
- Assist with credit/debit cards suppliers' requests and disputes investigations.
- Review the allocation of debit/credit cards fees per profit centers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field OR working towards CPA designation.
- 2+ years work experience in treasury/cash management or banking field preferred.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
