PT Contract / 22 hours weekly / $24.00 per hr

POSITION TITLE: Women's Emergency Shelter Cook

PROGRAM: Women's Emergency Shelter Program

REPORTS TO: Shelter Program Coordinator

POSITION: Prepare meals for women and gender diverse people accessing shelter services

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare and cook a variety of meals for service users

· Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines

· Assist in the development of meal plans

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area

· Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients and replenish food and other items as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment

· Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

· CPIC clearance
