Overview Take charge of underground mining operations at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON, as the Mine Superintendent with Agnico Eagle. Ensure operational safety and efficiency while achieving production targets. As the Mine Superintendent, you will manage both daily operations and a diverse team to meet the mine’s goals. You will coordinate with various departments and set operational strategies that align with safety standards and budgetary requirements. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily underground operations, ensuring efficiency and safety
Manage and lead the underground mining team, mentoring them effectively
Conduct safety audits and training sessions
Develop production plans and adjust strategies as necessary
Collaborate with Technical Services and Maintenance teams
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferable
At least 10 years in underground mining, with 5 years in a supervisory role
In-depth knowledge of mine safety regulations and practices
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
