Commercial Operations Manager

Edmonton, AB | $95,000–$110,000 + up to 15% bonus

A well-established commercial real estate organization is seeking a strong operational leader to oversee a large Edmonton-based commercial portfolio of approximately 2 million sq. ft.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Operations Supervisor with strong leadership skills who is ready to step into an Operations Manager position.

The Role

You will lead a team of Building Operators and maintenance staff while taking ownership of day-to-day property operations, safety, maintenance planning, contractor management, capital projects and customer service.

You will be responsible for

• Leading, developing and holding the operations team accountable
• Overseeing maintenance programs, workplace safety, OH&S compliance and emergency preparedness
• Coordinating contractors, external trades and major equipment replacements
• Supporting annual budgets, capital planning and procurement
• Ensuring the portfolio operates efficiently, safely and within budget
• Building strong relationships with tenants, vendors and internal stakeholders

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of progressive commercial building operations experience
• Proven experience leading building operations or maintenance teams
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, capital projects and contractor management
• Power Engineering certification require
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and clean driver’s abstract

Compensation and Benefits

• $95,000–$110,000 base salary
• Bonus opportunity of up to 15%
