Lawyer

We are seeking a Lawyer with 4+ years of experience, preferably in commercial litigation, to join a well-established legal team in Langley, BC. The ideal candidate will independently manage litigation files, work closely with senior lawyers, and have opportunities for mentorship and practice development.

Responsibilities

• Manage general and commercial litigation files independently from inception through resolution.
• Advise clients on litigation matters, legal disputes, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, applications, legal opinions, and other litigation documents.
• Represent clients in litigation proceedings and advocate for their interests.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners on complex litigation matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality legal services.
• Participate in business development and opportunities to grow an independent practice.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of litigation experience, ideally in commercial litigation.
• LLB/J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
• Strong legal research, drafting, litigation, and advocacy skills.
• Experience advising clients on commercial disputes and litigation matters.
• Ability to independently manage files and communicate confidently with clients.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and work ethic.
• Client-focused, collaborative, and motivated to develop a practice.
