At West Fraser’s Edson division, we are looking for a dedicated Certified Tradesperson to enhance our sawmill maintenance team. This position requires proactive experience in maintenance within industrial settings and will focus on ensuring machinery functionality and safety. You will work independently and within a team to implement preventive strategies and address maintenance issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities: • Perform welding and repairs on various machinery • Rebuild mill components for optimal performance • Fabricate and weld different material types • Monitor safety protocols and conduct inspections • Assist fellow tradespeople with repairs and maintenance

Requirements: • Proven maintenance experience in a sawmill environment • Strong mechanical diagnosis and repair skills • Proficiency in reading technical drawings • Ability to work independently under pressure • Flexibility in shift work and emergency responses
