Lead seismic interpretation and subsurface modeling for an oil and gas exploration company in Kimberley, supporting Northern Cape prospects and integrated technical studies.This senior Lead Subsurface Geoscientist role integrates geological, geophysical, and engineering data for hydrocarbon prospect evaluation. You will guide subsurface studies, assess risk, and contribute to exploration strategy. The position also includes mentoring junior geoscientists and presenting recommendations to management.Key Responsibilities:
Lead integrated interpretation of seismic, well, and geological dataDevelop and validate static and dynamic subsurface modelsIdentify, mature, and assess exploration prospectsInterpret well logs and core data for reservoir understandingCollaborate with geophysicists and reservoir and drilling engineersRequirements:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in geology, geophysics, or related Earth ScienceAt least nine years' progressive oil and gas subsurface experienceExtensive 2D and 3D seismic interpretation experienceProficiency with Petrel, Kingdom, GeoGraphix, or relevant softwareStrong leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skillsApply subsurface interpretation, modeling, and prospect risk assessment expertise to exploration studies across Kimberley and the Northern Cape.
