Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer

Rate: CAD 100/hr-110/hr
Role OverviewThe Senior Full Stack Engineer will be hands‑on, delivering production‑ready code while helping drive system architecture, engineering culture, and high‑cadence delivery across a global, microservices‑based environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver production code while supporting system architecture aligned to a microservices structure.
- Drive faster delivery cadence across the team by leading through example.
- Engage with business and engineering leadership to gather, clarify, and communicate requirements.
- Propose ideas and solutions based on understanding broader business and technical needs.
- Lead and influence engineering culture across teams.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams across regions.
- Proactively identify risks, remove impediments, and communicate issues to program management.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements programmatically and innovatively.
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience in software engineering, with strong backend application design, development, and deployment.
- Proven experience driving engineering and cultural change across teams and delivery processes.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and broader microservice architectures.
- Experience leading teams to deliver frequent production releases.
- Strong experience with CI/CD practices.
- Proven experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs to production.
- Extensive experience designing schemas and working with PostgreSQL
databases.
Preferred / Additional Experience
- Strong experience with Java, preferably recent versions.
- Understanding of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
- Strong experience developing UI applications using ReactJS.
- Experience migrating databases (e.g., MongoDB to PostgreSQL).
- Experience leading engineering teams across global locations.
- Prior experience in the financial services or banking sector.
