Parts Advisor (DM)

Job Responsibility:

Ducharme Motors is looking to add an additional Parts Advisor: to our busy Parts Department! The perfect candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to customer service with a passion in helping our customers. If you love to accessorize and have an eye for dressing up vehicles, this could be a great opportunity for you! Responsibilities: :

• Ensures that the same high quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers.

• Works with the service advisors to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.

• Sell parts through the shop, by phone or over the counter to customers.

• Assist walk-in customers with the selection of parts, suggest companion requirements and relay specials to ensure customer is aware of the product line.

• Provide price quotes and other related parts information via the telephone.

• Determine availability on out-of-stock items and, if requested by customer, submit emergency order.

• Retrieve parts purchased from stock.

• Review files weekly to keep track of back orders and return to vendor items.

• Issue credit for parts returned; ensure invoice number is on hand to verify purchases and pricing.

• Assist the Parts Manager in ordering stocked parts.

• Analyzes departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.

• Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines

• Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures.

• Comply with required health and safety regulations.

• Maintains professional appearance.

• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for customer service and sales are essential

• Previous Automotive or Parts knowledge will be considered an asset

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving abstract
