Lead Hand, Service Technician - Overhead Doors

NEX Industrial Supplies Inc. part of the Sentinel group, is looking for a  Lead Hand, Service Technician who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to be part of something that’s growing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor Service Technician Apprentices, helping develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals


• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors, loading dock systems, and related equipment - keeping operations running safely and efficiently


• Perform on-site welding and fabrication to support high-quality installations and repairs


• Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, and site documentation, including photos


• Take ownership of your tools and equipment- ensuring everything is well-maintained, safe, and ready to go


• Champion safety and customer experience on every job, delivering work you can stand behind


• Support and collaborate with teammates on more complex installs and service calls


• Communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams to keep projects moving and expectations aligned

What you Bring:

• 
  

  5+ years of experience as a Lead Hand working with loading dock systems and commercial overhead doors



• 
  

  Hands-on welding experience, with the ability to support on-site repairs and custom work



• 
  

  Valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation to get you to and from job sites



• 
  

  Strong mechanical aptitude - you’re confident using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting on the fly



• 
  

  Comfortable working at heights and in fast-paced, physically active environments



• 
  

  A positive, team-first mindset with a willingness to step up, support others, and get the job done right
