Seasonal Labourer

The R.M. of Weyburn No. 67 is inviting applications for the position of Seasonal Labourer.  

As a member of the Public Works Crew, you will be responsible for providing support under the direct supervision of the Foreman. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Operate a municipal mower and perform grass and roadside mowing as required.
-Responsible for the safe operations of Municipal owned equipment
-Work safely in and around municipal roadways, rights-of-way, and other municipal work areas.
-Assisting with minor maintenance and equipment repairs
-Perform general shop cleaning and yard maintenance.
-Picking rocks and debris
-Protect personal health and safety, as well as the health and safety of others, by following safe work practices and maintaining a safe workplace.
-Completing manual labour tasks as assigned
-Assisting with road repairs, culvert installations, and other duties assigned by Council and the Foreman

Qualifications:
-Ability to perform physical labour in outdoor conditions
-Good communication and organizational skills
-Self-motivated with a willingness to follow directions
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
-Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence required
-Previous experience is considered an asset, but is not required
-Successful applicants must be willing to receive training and certification on equipment as required
