Senior Ercot Interconnection Engineer

Lead ERCOT generation interconnection strategy remotely from the United States or Canada, using advanced power system modeling and technical expertise. Occasional travel may be needed.Electric Power Engineers seeks a Senior Power System Engineer with 5+ years supporting generation and transmission interconnection. You will manage complex studies, guide engineers, and serve as a technical expert throughout ERCOT interconnection processes. The work includes PSCAD, PSS/E, and TSAT modeling for solar PV, BESS, wind, and conventional projects.Key Responsibilities:
Lead generation interconnection efforts across the ERCOT footprintIdentify strategies using system impacts and grid capacityPerform EMT, benchmarking, and specialized grid studiesCreate and validate plant models for multiple technologiesMentor engineers and support proposals, knowledge, and conferencesRequirements:
5+ years in generation and transmission interconnectionERCOT process knowledge from filing through commercial operationsPSCAD, PSS/E, and ERCOT Model Quality Testing experienceStrong technical communication and organizational skillsAbility to build internal and external relationshipsApply ERCOT interconnection leadership, dynamic studies, and plant modeling expertise to complex grid projects at EPE.
