Warehouse (Afternoons)

Job Responsibility:

Alexandria Moulding is a leading moulding manufacturer and distributor of wood and wood composite mouldings in North America & the world and is currently comprised of five distinct facilities within Canada and the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure product quality assurance;
• Replenish;
• Strapping; Rework;
• Operate various equipment;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS :

• Basic computer skills;
• Repetitive tasks;
• Handle heavy up to 50 lbs.;
• Physically demanding;
• Standing for extended periods;
• Attention to detail;
• All necessary training will be provided;
• Self-motivated and works well under pressure
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the Warehouse, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surfaces.
• Capable of physically demanding work and standing for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs.
• Warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy.
• Fluctuations of temperature are common, some outdoor exposure during the workday/
• Wet floors may occur during rainy or snowy weather or at other times depending on what has transpired in the environment (i.e., cleaning of floors….).
• Sharp and/or rough edges will typically be encountered.
• Warehouse equipment and treated lumber may emit fumes.
• Some equipment may require electric voltage.
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience
• Prior lumber experience desired
• Must have basic math and analytical skills
• Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Self-started, pro-active and able to take initiative
• Basic familiarity with construction tools and equipment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work duties as required
• Understanding and willingness to maintain HSE standards

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Afternoons 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday

Salary: $20.80-$22.80 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
