About this roleWe are recruiting for an Electrical Planner to join our Project Planning Services team. This position is a great opportunity for those with a background in electrical construction.As part of our Project Planning Services team, you'll blend your electrical construction experience with industry-leading software to support our field teams at each stage of the project lifecycle. From pre-construction coordination and prefabrication design to installation and commissioning, we partner with field teams to provide accurate and compliant designs, ensuring efficient installation of electrical infrastructure.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesProduce installation drawings for field teams to allow for efficient install of electrical systems on a projectInterpret construction drawings including electrical, architectural, mechanical and structuralCollaborate with field teams to adjust plans based on site conditions and real-time feedbackCoordinate our electrical infrastructure requirements with other design and trade teamsUtilize planning software and digital tools to produce high-quality installation packagesYour experience and skillsApprentices and Journeypersons with a strong interest in planning and coordinationMinimum 2-3 years of field experience with conduit bending & racking, wire installation, and distribution installation are assetsStrong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindsetExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPassion for precision, research, and technical detailingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings confidentlyOrganized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environmentComfortable working with computers and eager to learn tools including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and ReviztoStrong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)About HouleAs BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
