Manulife is embarking on a multi-year journey to build a Global Performance & Digital Marketing CoE (Center of Excellence) which will fuel our bold ambition to become a digital customer leader. This global central organization brings together Marketing Technology (Martech), Demand Generation (Demand Gen), Marketing Measurement, Marketing Automation, Personalization, and other functional areas of Digital Marketing to build a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys powered by connected data, that when integrated raises brand awareness, drives quality traffic, generates leads, secures sales, and fosters brand loyalty.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Customer Segmentation Data Steward to ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of data within our Customer Data Platform (CDP).

Responsibilities :

  • CDP Data Governance - Collaborate with internal data architect, data owners and compliance teams to document data handling policies in CDP
  • Provide overview of data governance and usage in CDP to stakeholders
  • Categorize the data from source systems by adding data labels, and usage policies for each
  • Data Quality Management - Monitor and maintain data quality within the CDP by conducting regular audits, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Data Validation and Cleansing - Identify and correct data errors, inconsistencies, and missing information to ensure the integrity of customer data.
  • Data Enrichment - Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to enrich customer profiles with relevant information from various sources.
  • Data Mapping and Standardization - Ensure consistent data mapping, naming conventions, and data standards across the CDP for accurate documentation of each component.
  • Data Compliance and Security - Ensure that customer data within the CDP adheres to data privacy regulations provided by internal compliance teams and company data security policies.
  • Documentation - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data processes, data lineage, and data flow within the CDP.
  • Issue Resolution - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • User Training and Support - Provide training and support to CDP users on data entry best practices, data quality management, and compliance guidelines
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and data engineers to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement - Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in data management, suggesting improvements to enhance data quality and processes.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Steward, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on data quality management.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and high-quality data.
  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and customer data management principles.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations, compliance standards, and data security best practices.
  • Proficiency in data validation and cleansing techniques, data mapping, and standardization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to convey data-related concepts to various audiences.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$58,650.00 CAD - $97,750.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
