About the Role

My client is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining the backend infrastructure for their innovative platform. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, product, and leadership—to design scalable, maintainable backend systems.
  

• Analyze and solve complex technical challenges, and communicate solutions effectively within the team.
  

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  

• Promote and implement best practices in software development, proactively addressing technical debt and staying current with new technologies.
  

• Monitor, optimize, and ensure the reliability and scalability of backend systems.
  

• Lead project planning, technical design, estimation, and delivery, ensuring alignment across teams.
  

• Contribute to team growth by supporting process improvements and mentoring peers.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
  

• Strong computer science fundamentals with advanced proficiency in Go and Node.js (required).
  

• Experience with C++ is highly desirable.
  

• Solid understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, data structures, and databases.
  

• Proven experience building distributed, scalable systems and APIs in a service-oriented environment.
  

• Familiarity with deploying infrastructure on AWS.
  

• Excellent collaboration skills and a passion for working with multidisciplinary teams.
  

• Adaptability, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach—startup experience is a plus.
  

• Demonstrated ownership and pride in delivering high-quality work.
