Experienced Part-Time Live-Out Nanny Wanted - Twin Infant Care (St. Albert)

We are a first responder family in St. Albert looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced live-out nanny to help care for our 4-month-old twins. Initially, we are looking for someone who can assist a few times per week during the day when my husband is working. I plan to be at home, catching up on housework, cleaning, meal prep etc. I may need to leave the house briefly to do a grocery run or other errand. Afternoons are preferred but I am flexible. You can expect anywhere from 10–30 hours per week, depending on availability and our family's needs. We may also end up hiring a few different helpers based on nanny availability, so the weekly hours could vary. As the twins grow and begin sleeping longer stretches, our needs will likely shift towards some evening care a few days per week, as well as occasional weekends. At that stage, we anticipate requiring approximately 10–15 hours per week, allowing me to attend appointments, run errands, and manage other responsibilities outside the home. Nanny Responsibilities will include:

• Bottle feeding
• Diaper changes
• Putting the babies down for naps and supervising naps
• Engaging with and caring for the babies
• Light housekeeping related to the babies and general household upkeep
• Occasionally accompanying me to appointments with the babies, as having an extra set of hands can be very helpful when managing twins

What we're looking for:

• Experience caring for infants; twin experience is strongly preferred
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Reliable, dependable, nurturing, and attentive
• A valid driver's license and vehicle are preferred (though not currently required, as I will be home most of the time)

We also have a friendly 8-year-old Golden Retriever who loves people, so being comfortable around dogs is important. While we'd love to find someone who grows with our family and becomes a familiar, trusted part of our boys' lives, we know that's not always possible and it's certainly not a requirement. Right now, our main goal is simply to lighten some of the load during this busy stage of life. We have very little family nearby to help, and while our friends are wonderful, they all have busy families of their own. Having an extra set of caring, capable hands would make a world of difference for us, and we're looking for someone who will help our home run a little more smoothly while providing our boys with loving, attentive care. Some of our favourite things include working out, getting away to the mountains, spending as much time outdoors as possible, travelling to the Maritimes to visit family and explore, taking scenic road trips while we're there, relaxing with our dog, and enjoying summer evenings around the fire or BBQ-ing. We lead active, healthy lifestyles and appreciate a balance of adventure, quality family time, and slowing down to enjoy the little moments.
