Systems Consultant – Senior

Location: Downtown Toronto, near TTC and GO (Office: 81 Bay Street, 18th floor)
Work Model: Hybrid – in‑office required Tuesdays and the second Friday of the month.
Work Hours: 37.5, Overtime: No
Rate: $79‑85/hr (B2B)
Responsibilities
As a member of CIBC’s Enterprise Scheduling Services Engineering team, you’ll play a crucial role in all matters of Enterprise Scheduling and File Transfer Services. You will:
- Provide technical leadership, standards, and best practices to technology teams during design, build, configuration, implementation, and maintenance phases of initiatives/projects involving Enterprise Scheduling and File Transfer tools.
- Deliver level 3 support to resolve technology‑related incidents.
- Determine standards and roadmaps for hardware and software, and decide how Security Infrastructure is built.
- Recommend standards for organization‑wide initiatives based on your expertise.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options.
- Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies and audit requirements.
How You’ll Succeed
- Leadership & Communication – collaborate with colleagues across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance Enterprise Services related solutions, weighing business needs against technology offerings and security concerns.
- Governance – provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your own department.
- Engineering – lead evaluation, selection and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in design, implementation, and support of technologies and technology‑based solutions dealing with Enterprise Scheduling and File Transfer products such as AutoSys and SecureTransport.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Ansible, Python, Access, Excel, and VB, Python, and Shell scripting expertise, as well as strong Linux OS level knowledge.
- Experience with Azure or working in an Agile framework is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of IT Standards, policies and procedures, and the ability to administer the organization’s technology practices appropriately to diverse situations.

- Advanced AutoSys skills
- Windows proficiency
Nice‑to‑have:
- Experience with Enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., IBM Workload Scheduler, CTRL M)
- Basic shell scripting knowledge
- Experience with Azure or working in an Agile framework
