HMR Department Manager

HMR (Home Meal Replacement) allows customers the benefit of a having a tasty home cooked meal without having to cook it themselves. Customers can find a variety of food options such as wings, pizza, sandwiches and salads. We are seeking a candidate with management experience to fill an opening as our HMR Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maximizing budgeted sales and gross profits within budgeted expenses through sales development, expense management and a solid understanding of the workings of the department.

• Assist in managing a balanced inventory selection, capitalizing on maximizing profits through merchandising program support and inventory control.

• Help maintain and promote a close working relationship with customers, staff and management.

• Responsible for hiring and training of new employees.

• Help achieve productivity levels through labour scheduling and time management.

• Ensure the safety of employees and customers and promptly report all accidents to the Store Manager or designate.

• Maintain the highest levels of department sanitation and cleanliness.

• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous management / leadership experience.

• Previous experience in a food retail environment.

• Ability to work well with others.

• Must be organized with the ability to direct and motivate staff.

• Extensive product knowledge.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building leadership and customer loyalty.

• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors and customers.

• Knowledge of store systems (SAP, BOSS, Telxon, BDR, Persona) is an asset.

• Must be available for all shifts including evenings and weekends.

Store Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 9pm

Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 7pm
