Run Site Set Up Team
Canadian Cancer Society
Role Details
When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada. Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.
• Support set up – movement of tents, table, chairs, hanging banners, fencing and décor on the site
• Should be able to lift at least 10 lbs
• This is an active role in which you will need to stand for long periods of time
• Ready to jump into any task—flexible, helpful, and always a team player.
Why we need you
Together, we are changing the future of breast cancer. By joining the CIBC Run for the Cure this year and uniting your community together for the breast cancer cause, you are helping us ensure we can continue to fund ground-breaking breast cancer research and clinical trials. Thanks to these investments in research and clinical trials, approximately 90% of women will survive at least 5 years after a breast cancer diagnosis. By being a part of the CIBC Run for the Cure, you are helping us make tremendous progress!
What we're looking for
• A positive attitude
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Willingness to volunteer at the event in all weather conditions
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Passion for your community
Our Investment
JOIN US and be part of the larger Run community and have the opportunity to learn and mentor as you engage with CCS staff and volunteers. Certificate of volunteer experience available upon request.
Your commitment
