Digital and Library Support Assistant
$25.7 per hourYork University
Purpose
The Digital and Library Support Assistant provides customer service to patrons onsite at the Markham Library, under the direction of the Digital Development Supervisor.
Education
Minimum completion of the first year in a post-secondary program in information technology, computer science, humanities, social sciences, or fine arts, to acquire relevant technical skills.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year related experience providing customer service and support for multi-media equipment and media editing software, in a high-volume environment.
Skills
- Proficient with media editing software including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Audacity, and OpenShot.
- Proficient with makerspace related software such as Prusa Slicer and Lightburn.
- Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Google Calendar and Dropbox.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Effective communication skills.
Additional Notes
Ability to move materials and/or equipment up to 20lbs.
