Casual Pool Health Care Aide - Calgary

Our
Health Care Aides are an integral part of our clients’ daily
lives as our clients rely on our Aides to function effectively
and comfortably. Our Aides provide the necessary physical and
emotional support to our clients, but also relay insight and
ideas to the health care professional in charge to improve our
clients’ safety and well -being. <\/span>
<\/div>

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to <\/b><\/span><\/h3>

• Assisting clients with
  activities of daily living, personal care, and other health care
  tasks as delegated by the health care professional in charge
  (e.g., LPN, RN, physician)<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• 
  Home support
  activities including meal preparation, cooking, housekeeping,
  and shopping <\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• 
  Ensuring clients are
  safe and comfortable <\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• 
  Finding creative and
  effective solutions to improve client's quality of life and
  wellbeing <\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Reporting
  and documenting necessary items appropriately and in a
  timely fashion <\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• 
  Following direction and
  training from your supervisor <\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• 
  Performing duties
  diligently and compassionately within your scope of
  practice <\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Completing
  tasks with a high level of professionalism, expertise, and
  competency <\/span>

  Education &
  Experience <\/span><\/h3>

  • Experience with
    mental health an asset <\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 
    Health Care Aide
    certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited
    institution <\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 
    CPR/BCLS
    certification required <\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 
    Minimum 1 -year
    experience in a clinical setting is considered an
    asset <\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 
    Basic computer
    literacy <\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 
    Must speak,
    read, and write English fluently <\/span>
