Estimator

Newtech Installation Inc.

About the company

Les Réalisations Newtech is a well-established construction and installation company delivering complex projects across Canada and the United States.

What sets the organization apart is its highly structured, execution-driven approach. Every project is built on precision, coordination, and technical excellence — from the first drawing review to final installation. Estimation is not just a support function here; it is a critical pillar that drives project success, profitability, and client trust.

This is an environment where accuracy matters, collaboration is constant, and quality is non-negotiable.

The role – what makes it important

As an Estimator, you are at the very start of every project’s success story.

You will be responsible for analyzing technical documents, interpreting architectural plans, and building complete, reliable cost structures that guide both internal decisions and client proposals.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, detail, and technical problem-solving — and who wants to see the direct impact of their work on real construction projects across North America.

What your day-to-day looks like

This is a hands-on, structured, and fast-moving role where no two days are identical, but the rhythm is clear and organized:

• Review incoming project requests and bid opportunities

• Deep dive into architectural drawings, plans, and specifications

• Extract key technical information and translate it into actionable estimates

• Calculate installation hours, labour requirements, materials, and equipment needs

• Build complete and accurate quotations using internal processes and tools

• Use Bluebeam to analyze and manage project drawings

• Collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator and Operations Directors to align scope and strategy

• Submit finalized bids and actively follow up with clients

• Track, update, and maintain visibility on all active submissions

• Support revisions, clarifications, and adjustments throughout the bidding cycle

This is a role where precision meets pace — and where your attention to detail directly impacts project success.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who thrives in structured environments and takes pride in accuracy.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in estimation (junior to intermediate level welcome)

• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications

• Solid understanding of construction fundamentals

• Experience estimating for both Canadian and U.S. markets

• DEP in estimation, construction technology, or equivalent background

• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking

• Comfortable working in a structured, on-site environment

• Fully bilingual in French and English (essential)

Conditions & environment

• Full-time, stable position

• Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• On-site role with strong team collaboration

• Structured processes and clear expectations

• Team of experienced estimators working in sync on complex projects

• Opportunity to grow within a high-performing estimation department

✨ Why this role stands out

This is not just another estimation position.

It is an opportunity to join a team where your work is visible, valued, and essential — where precision is respected, learning is constant, and every estimate contributes directly to major construction projects across Canada and the U.S.

If you are looking for structure, responsibility, and a place where technical work is taken seriously — this is the kind of environment where you can truly grow.
