FULL TIME Warehouse Order Picker

Job Duties

• Maintain a clean warehouse and efficient working environment.
• Organize coolers so that product is stacked away properly.
• Rotate product and ensure product is labeled according to specific policies.
• Pick orders as required and make sure that shorted items are reported to the office.
• Report any low inventory levels to the Warehouse Manager.
• Stack skids in coolers to ensure space is utilized effectively.
• Ice product when required following standardized procedures to complete the task

Qualifications and Core Competencies

• General understanding of food storage procedures.
• General understanding of produce quality standards. Knowledge of organic product is considered an asset.
• Display a strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse is considered an asset.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to multi task, manage time effectively and solve problems in a dynamic work environment.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand and move around for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to comfortably lift and handle loads up to 50lbs.
• Majority of work completed in a cold temperature environment.
• Continuous learning environment including training opportunities.
• General labour work attire but clothing must be clean and intact.
• Availability must include Sundays between 8am-3pm, and weekdays between 8am-6pm.
• Compensation for this position begins at the minimum level and ranges with experience - further possible increases based on positive reviews and performance.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
