JOB TITLE: STORE MANAGER

LOCATION: Plaster Rock Mainstop Inc.

SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency. Plaster Rock Mainstop consists of a gas bar, selling convenience store products and an ANBL agency store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Recruit, train, and mentor new employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Lead and supervise store staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock availability.
  • Ensure store organization, cleanliness, attraction and properly priced merchandise by managing and assigning tasks appropriately.
  • Oversee cashiering operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions and cash handling.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain all store files and manuals.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement in store performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • At all times thinking quickly and offering sales suggestions.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of sales management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in recruiting and training staff is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cashiering systems and retail software is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation to/from bank and meetings.
