Salary range: $85,000-$105.000. Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity. 

Hours per week: 37.5

Paid leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

SAIT's Advancement team is seeking an Industry Engagement Officer to build and strengthen strategic partnerships that advance SAIT’s priorities and create meaningful industry connections. As the key relationship manager for a diverse portfolio of industry associations, corporations, and partners, you will identify, cultivate, and steward partnerships that drive impact across the institution.

Working through a OneSAIT approach, you will connect industry opportunities with academic schools, research centres, and departments to create collaborative, high-value outcomes. As a trusted representative of SAIT, you will engage directly with industry leaders, bring together cross-functional teams, and use data, insights, and CRM tools to inform strategy, enhance engagement, and maximize partnership success.

How you'll contribute

• Build, manage, and grow strategic partnerships with industry associations, corporations, and key stakeholders aligned with SAIT’s priorities.


• Work with campus partners to identify, develop, and advance opportunities related to applied research, workforce development, talent pipelines, student engagement, and other strategic initiatives.


• Serve as a trusted relationship manager, leading partner outreach, engagement activities, and ongoing stewardship ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness


• Collaborate across academic schools, research centres, and departments to develop integrated solutions and mutually beneficial partnership opportunities 


• Work closely with other Advancement colleagues to align industry engagement with philanthropic and strategic objectives.


• Develop partnership strategies, briefing materials, and engagement plans to support business development efforts.


• Represent SAIT within industry and post-secondary networks, fostering relationships and identifying emerging partnership opportunities.


• Leverage prospect research, data, and CRM tools to inform engagement strategies, track activities, and identify growth opportunities.


• Analyze and share industry insights, trends, and intelligence to support coordinated engagement across SAIT.


• From time to time, participate in special projects and/or institutional initiatives at the direction of the Director, Industry Engagement. 

What you bring

• Minimum Diploma in business, communications, public relations, or related field.


• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, public relations, or related field is preferred.


• Must have 3-5 years experience in industry engagement, business development, partnerships, or related roles.


• 1-2 years experience working in a post-secondary environment would be considered an asset.

• Proven ability to build and sustain strategic relationships with industry and key stakeholders.


• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build consensus.


• Skilled at fostering cross-functional collaboration and leading partnerships across complex organizations.


• Ability to identify, develop, and advance strategic opportunities that align stakeholder and institutional goals.


• Highly organized, with strong project, time management, and prioritization skills.


• Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging CRM systems, market intelligence, and relationship insights.


• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


• Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.


• Committed to partnership, transparency, and delivering high-impact outcomes.
