Technology and Networking Technologist - Education Sector

HPEDSB - Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board

Drive technology innovation as a Computer Systems and Networking Technologist with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. Support educational tech implementation, ensuring compliance and wellness. This role focuses on managing educational technology systems while promoting student and staff well‑being. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in risk mitigation, utility data, and safety training. With two years of professional experience, you'll collaborate with school administrations and contribute to effective energy and sustainability programs. Key Responsibilities:

Research and implement educational technology initiatives
Support and maintain school server applications
Manage and troubleshoot computer and device security
Assist with setup of interactive technologies and infrastructure
Provide technical support for video surveillance systems

Requirements:

Three-year diploma in Computer Engineering Technology or related field
Minimum two years’ experience in educational technology
Knowledge of telephony and surveillance systems
Strong multitasking and communication skills
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Background check
