Neobirdge Healthcare is proud to partner with Avalon Health Clinic, a new multidisciplinary clinic in Greater Victoria, BC.m Avalon is seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (Physiatrist) to join a interdisciplinary clinic designed around connected, modern healthcare.

This is an opportunity to practice in an environment that values thoughtful medicine, collaborative rehabilitation, and coordinated support for patients navigating injury, recovery, chronic pain, neurological conditions, and complex functional challenges.

At Avalon, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will play an important role across our rehabilitation and recovery pathways, supporting patients through coordinated outpatient care designed to improve function, recovery, quality of life, and long-term outcomes.

You will work alongside family physicians, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, counsellors, and other allied health professionals within one connected system designed to improve continuity, communication, and patient experience.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS

Provide consultative and longitudinal physiatry care within a collaborative outpatient setting

Support patients navigating musculoskeletal, neurological, pain-related, post-surgical, and functional rehabilitation concerns

Collaborate closely with rehabilitation clinicians and primary care providers to support coordinated recovery planning

Contribute expertise to Avalon’s brain injury and concussion, surgical recovery, and ICU recovery pathways

Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and collaborative care planning

Support return-to-function, mobility, activity participation, and quality-of-life outcomes for complex patients

Help shape specialty workflows and rehabilitation systems within a growing clinic environment

Contribute to a patient experience that feels connected, respectful, and easier to navigate

WHO YOU ARE

You are a Physiatrist who values interdisciplinary rehabilitation, thoughtful systems, and patient-centered recovery care.

You bring strong clinical reasoning, professionalism, and a functional approach to complex care. You appreciate autonomy while recognizing the value of integrated healthcare environments and collaborative rehabilitation teams.

You may be especially interested in helping build a modern outpatient rehabilitation model that supports continuity, communication, and coordinated recovery more effectively.

WHAT YOU BRING

MD with full registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, or eligibility to register

Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), or eligibility

CMPA coverage

Interest in collaborative outpatient rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care

Comfort with EMR systems and team-based workflows

Strong communication skills and collaborative instincts

Physicians at varying stages of practice are welcome to apply
