Senior Hydroelectric Structural Engineer

Lead hydroelectric structural design at AtkinsRéalis, applying civil engineering expertise to dams, spillways, powerhouses, and related concrete structures. Work spans Canadian and international projects.This civil and structural engineering position supports analysis, design, and rehabilitation across hydroelectric, hydraulic, building, and bridge projects. You will advise clients, clarify needs, and contribute technical expertise within an experienced team of engineers and technicians. The work includes technical mandates for major hydroelectric structures.Key Responsibilities:
Design concrete and steel hydraulic and hydroelectric structuresRehabilitate hydraulic works, power plants, and related structuresCoordinate multidisciplinary design meetings with teams and clientsPrepare engineering, calculations, reports, drawings, and specificationsSupervise staff and follow works during constructionRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural profileMaster’s degree in civil engineering is an assetMinimum 10 years’ relevant heavy civil experienceEGBC membership and Canadian professional engineer eligibilityEnglish fluency and SAP2000, Abaqus, ANSY knowledgeBring hydroelectric design, rehabilitation, coordination, and structural analysis expertise to AtkinsRéalis projects across Canada and internationally.
