Opportunity

MacEwan University is seeking a Student Experience Assistant for a casual opportunity with the Department of Design in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications.

The Department of Design has an opportunity for a current student to assist with the coordination and operation of the Design Summer Camp program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting Design faculty and staff with Design Summer Camp daily programming, including preparing materials, tools, and work spaces;
• Assisting with instructional workshops and technical tutorials;
• Managing setup, operation, and takedown of photo and video lighting equipment in a professional studio environment; and
• Working with high school students to advise and support creative projects.

Skills

You will have:

• The ability to work independently;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Communication and time-management skills; and
• Familiarity with jobsite safety best practices, including use of ladders and lifting heavy objects up to 50lbs

Qualifications

• The completion of MacEwan Design Photo Studio orientation via completion of DESN 250 or 260.

Position Requirements

• This position is on campus only.
• List of two references. At least one of the references must be a MacEwan faculty member.
