Food Services:
As a dedicated member of the Nutrition Food Service (NFS) team, you could make a significant impact by providing nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, residents, staff, visitors, and the community.  You will be accountable for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality patient, resident, and customer experience. Under the general supervision of a Food Services Supervisor, you will use your customer service, teamwork and organizational skills to independently: Prepare, handle, portion and package food and beverages. Assemble trays in the kitchen and/or serve meals in a dining room setting. Provide patient meal delivery and pick up. Order and put away unit supplies. Safely operate and clean industrial food service equipment. Adhere to safety, sanitation, and food preparation standards in accordance with AHS policies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will be able to: Work independently in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy. Work under pressure in high stress situations. Communicate effectively in English with patients, co-workers, and other hospital departments. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative. Work as an effective, professional team member. Demonstrate a patient first approach as outlined in the AHS Foundational Strategies.

Environmental Services:
If you enjoy cleaning and have an eye for detail, we want you on our team! Join us and help keep our hospitals clean, safe, and welcoming. Okotoks Health and Wellness Centre is hiring a Regular Part-Time Environmental Services (housekeeper/cleaner). If you see something that needs attention, even garbage on the floor, you step in safely and professionally to take care of it because every action helps support patient care. We’ll train you to safely clean and disinfect our healthcare buildings. Environmental Services staff follow cleaning and disinfecting protocols while cleaning surfaces and patient equipment in assigned areas such as patient rooms, treatment rooms, emergency and operating rooms, washrooms, offices, and corridors.
