Become a pivotal legal strategist with our client as a Senior In-House Counsel. This position involves providing decisive legal advice for Canadian and U.S. operations while supporting growth initiatives.
Our client is searching for an accomplished Senior Legal Counsel to drive strategic legal direction within their executive team. Collaborating closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, you’ll navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. This leadership role demands expertise in corporate governance, litigation, and commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal counsel to executives on corporate and regulatory matters
• Draft and manage complex commercial agreements
• Identify and mitigate legal business risks proactively
• Oversee litigation and external counsel management
• Advise on compliance with U.S. and Canadian laws
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. from accredited law school
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience in corporate/commercial law
• Strong knowledge of U.S. legal landscape
• Proven success advising executive leadership
• Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills
