Successful candidates will be comfortable working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing mental health and addiction challenges, and able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Strong communication, critical thinking, decision-making, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to assess risk, manage complex behaviours, and respond appropriately in dynamic situations.

Candidates should possess knowledge of the Canadian criminal justice system, human behaviour, mental health and addictions, and approaches that support positive change and recovery. A valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's licence (or equivalent) and a valid First Aid and CPR/AED certificate are required. Relevant qualifications may include a degree in Social Sciences, a diploma in Law Enforcement, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A medical evaluation is required as part of the employment process.

Responsibilities include maintaining facility safety and security, supervising offenders, providing case management and interventions within a therapeutic model, conducting patrols and security checks, applying legislation and policy, and responding to incidents using safe and effective intervention strategies.
