Qualifications

• License from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
• Full Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage
• Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) – General Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Mandatory certification in obstetrics and surgery (OB/GYN)

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative obstetrical care and emergency gynecology services within a 1:10 home call schedule.
• Deliver patient care in a shared model with family practice physicians and midwives for primary obstetrics; manage high‑risk obstetric patients in partnership with specialists.
• Maintain on‑site neonatal care for infants ≥ 30 weeks gestation within a Tier 4 referral centre; participate in the Perinatal Transfer Network.
• Perform operative gynaecologic procedures, including advanced laparoscopy and urogynecology, utilizing the facility’s advanced surgical tower and nurse‑led conscious sedation suite.
• Teach and supervise medical students, family practice and residency trainees as part of the Southern Medical Program at UBC.
• Participate in locum opportunities for short‑term or flexible work if desired.
