Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking line cook to assist our team of chefs in our Indian restaurant. The line cook will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks such as food preparation, dishwashing, and cleaning the kitchen. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the chefs in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and measuring ingredients
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized at all times
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Stock and organize ingredients and supplies in the kitchen
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment by following food safety guidelines
- Follow recipes accurately and consistently to ensure high-quality dishes
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as needed
- Help with any other tasks assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working in a restaurant kitchen preferred, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
