Manufacturing procurement expertise meets hands-on purchasing in Penticton, BC, supporting Kinetic Custom Trailers through supplier management and material planning.As Senior Buyer, you will manage strategic and operational purchasing for custom trailer manufacturing. The role requires manufacturing procurement experience, supplier negotiation, and ERP/MRP proficiency. You will help ensure materials, fabricated components, equipment, and production supplies support production schedules, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end purchasing for materials, components, equipment, and suppliesReview production schedules, BOMs, and ERP/MRP requirementsIdentify shortages, long-lead items, and supply disruptionsNegotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and agreementsMaintain purchasing, supplier, and pricing information accuratelyRequirements:
Minimum 5+ years purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturingPost-secondary education in supply chain, business, procurement, or related fieldUnderstanding of manufacturing operations and production flowExperience sourcing fabricated components or industrial materialsProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft OfficeApply manufacturing procurement, supplier negotiation, and ERP/MRP skills to strengthen material availability at Kinetic Custom Trailers.
