The CNC Programmer plays a crucial role in an in-house team, responsible for creating, updating, and optimizing CNC programs on a daily basis. This role involves working primarily with standard CNC machines to ensure efficient machine setup, tool selection, and quality control, while maintaining strict safety compliance and thorough documentation.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines according to program specifications
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each job
- Perform quality control checks to ensure precision and accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues related to CNC programming and machine operation
- Document program changes, machine settings, and processes
- Collaborate effectively with team members to optimize production
- Adhere to all safety protocols and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in CNC programming would be considered
- Experience in the field is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC machine operation
- Skill in precision measurement techniques
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Good time management capabilities
