Chief Power Engineer

Agilent seeks a Chief Power Engineer to oversee maintenance operations and facility equipment at a manufacturing site in Nova Scotia. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, diagnosing equipment issues, and performing preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assign maintenance tasks to facility staff while ensuring cGMP compliance and documentation
• Diagnose mechanical breakdowns and implement technical solutions across utility and process equipment
• Develop predictive maintenance schedules and recommend capital equipment purchases to management
• Provide team leadership including performance evaluations, payroll oversight, and HR compliance
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibrations, and equipment installations; manage spare parts inventory

Requirements

• Power Engineer 3rd Class license or equivalent trade certification
• Three years of industrial and mechanical maintenance experience
• Two years of supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Proficiency with computer systems and administrative tasks

Compensation: $71,424–$111,600 CAD per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits
