Caregiver / Personal Support Worker (Part-Time)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and patient caregiver to assist an 80-year-old woman with dementia who lives with her daughter and her family in Millbrook. The role involves providing personal care and light housekeeping related to her daily needs. Duties include:

• Assisting with getting up in the morning and preparing for bed in the evening;
• Assisting with dressing and undressing;
• Providing assistance with personal hygiene, including showering, toileting, continence care, changing incontinence products, and cleaning up after episodes of incontinence;
• Assisting with personal grooming;
• Preparing and serving breakfast and ensuring medications are taken as directed;
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms after use, as required;
• Washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing and bedding, including changing and laundering soiled linens when necessary;
• Making the bed and maintaining a clean, comfortable bedroom;
• Providing companionship and treating her with patience, kindness, and dignity at all times.

Schedule:

• Approximately a few hours each morning;
• Approximately one hour each evening to assist with bedtime; and
• Some occasional additional hours as needed.
