General Construction Labourer

Staffmax is assisting our client in hiring dependable and hardworking  General Construction Labourers for a 3-month contract. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, safety-focused, and looking to gain valuable experience on active construction sites—both residential and commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload building materials and distribute them around the job site

• Assist skilled tradespeople with tools, equipment, and general site duties

• Operate hand tools and small construction equipment as required

• Help with site setup, demolition, and post-project cleanup

• Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work environment

• Adhere to all on-site health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE

• Report safety hazards, site concerns, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction or general labour is an asset

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, working outdoors, and performing repetitive tasks

• CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required

• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Able to follow instructions and maintain a safety-first mindset
