Paladin Security is Hiring a Full-Time site Trainer
Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday during daytime office hours, with flexibility to work other hours as needed
Pay Rate: CA$26.00 – CA$29.00

Overview
The Site Trainer will work closely with the Site Security Manager, Assistant Site Manager, H&R REIT client representatives, Team Leads, Assistant Team Leads, and Paladin's Training Department to ensure employees are properly trained and prepared to meet the operational and service expectations of The Bow.
The successful candidate must be highly organized, dependable, confident facilitating training in front of groups, and capable of independently managing multiple training requirements and deadlines. They must also be able to effectively assess employee performance and identify when additional training, coaching, or development is required before an employee is ready to work independently.
Job Functions
- Coordinate and deliver site training for all new employees assigned to The Bow.
- Deliver or become certified to deliver required training programs, including but not limited to:
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- First Aid
- Use of Force
- Mental Health First Aid
- Legal and Liability
- Site-specific operational training
- Conduct site orientation and ensure new hires receive a thorough understanding of site policies, procedures, expectations, and operational responsibilities.
- Train employees on site-specific duties, procedures, emergency response protocols, communication expectations, reporting standards, and security operations.
- Assess and evaluate employee performance through written assessments, practical evaluations, observation, and hands-on training.
- Identify training deficiencies and provide coaching, retraining, and follow-up support to employees when required.
- Develop, review, and update training materials, lesson plans, presentations, quizzes, practical scenarios, checklists, sign-off sheets, and other training resources.
- Ensure training materials remain current with site procedures, client expectations, company policies, and operational changes.
- Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, recertification dates, course completion, and outstanding requirements.
- Monitor certification expiry dates and proactively schedule employees for required renewals and recertifications.
- Maintain training matrices, employee training files, attendance records, certificates, assessments, and other required documentation.
- Assist with coordinating and conducting site drills, tabletop exercises, emergency response exercises, and practical scenarios.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and assist with identifying training opportunities or areas requiring additional employee development.
- Manage training responsibilities independently while remaining flexible and responsive to changing operational and client needs.
- Complete additional training-related duties as assigned by the Site Security Manager.
Requirements
- Valid Alberta Security License or ability to obtain one.
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous training, coaching, teaching, or leadership experience preferred
- Security industry experience is considered an asset
- Willing and able to obtain required instructor certifications
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitations skills
- Strong coaching, feedback, and employee development skills
- Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn site specific systems
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings, nights, and weekends
- Physically capable of participating in and instructing practical training, including MOAB, Use of Force, and First Aid
