Job summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick and Stone Installer to join the Farmboy Landscaping & Maintenance team. This role involves installing brick and stone features for residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry, construction, and restoration work, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the enhancement of outdoor spaces with precision and professionalism.

This role will also require general construction knowledge, the requirement to install and understand various types of hardscaping such as gravel and sub layer material placement, installation of retaining walls, some carpentry / fencing and general landscaping principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install brick, stone, and masonry features according to project specifications and blueprints
• Prepare surfaces and layouts using schematics and blueprint reading skills
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist in demolition, renovation, and restoration tasks as needed
• Mix mortar, caulking, and other materials to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
• Maintain clean work areas and proper storage of tools and materials

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in masonry, construction, or landscaping installation roles
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of renovation, restoration techniques, and caulking applications
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and performing manual labor over extended periods

Experience:

• Bricklaying: 3 years (required)
• landscaping: 1 year (preferred)
• Class 5 Drivers License (required)

Language:

• English (preferred)
