Gas Fix
Job Responsibility:
This is a starting entry level position for a G3 licensed gas technician. Some heavy lifting and working at heights on ladders and on roofs required.You will prepare the trucks for the days jobs, including loading some heavy equipment. When arriving at the job site there is often equipment to be removed and replaced with new product. The site may need to be cleaned prior to installing the replacement equipment. The old product must be loaded on the trucks.Depending on the job there will be piping, gas and other pipe to be removed, reconfigured modified or installed, including copper, CSST flex, black pipe, PVC, ABS, Poly and other material.Equipment installed is tested and put into operating. Job site is cleaned and vehicles loaded. On returning to the warehouse the trucks are unloaded, restocked with materials used and reorganized and cleaned.Miscellaneous functions would include use of a wide variety of common house hold and industrial power equipment and hand tools , from pipe cutters to rotatory hammers to pipe threaders. The proper use of personal safety equipment and safety training as needed.Products used include pool heaters, water heaters, tanked and tankless, furnaces, fireplaces, utility heaters , generators, and gas line systems.
